Luxury Resort Events Manager

Our client, a premier hospitality group in the vibrant coastal city of Virginia Beach, Virginia , is seeking an experienced and dynamic Luxury Resort Events Manager to lead their upscale event operations. This is a critical role responsible for the planning, execution, and successful delivery of a wide range of high-profile events, including weddings, corporate conferences, galas, and private functions. The ideal candidate will possess an impeccable eye for detail, exceptional organizational skills, and a proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities: Oversee all aspects of event planning from conception to completion, ensuring seamless execution and client satisfaction. Develop and manage event budgets, negotiating with vendors to secure the best rates and terms. Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and exceeding expectations. Coordinate with internal departments, including catering, AV, sales, and operations, to ensure all event requirements are met. Source and manage relationships with external vendors, such as florists, entertainment, and transportation providers. Conduct site inspections and provide recommendations to clients. Oversee on-site event execution, troubleshooting any issues that may arise and ensuring a flawless guest experience. Stay abreast of industry trends and innovations to continuously enhance service offerings. Manage event staff and volunteers as needed. Prepare post-event reports, including financial summaries and client feedback analysis. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Marketing, Communications, or a related field preferred. Minimum of 5 years of experience in luxury event planning, preferably within a resort or high-end hotel setting. Demonstrated success in managing budgets and negotiating contracts. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills. Proficiency in event management software and Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as dictated by event schedules. Strong problem-solving abilities and a calm demeanor under pressure.
