The Social Media and Events Coordinator position will prepare and develop social media and outreach content to support and enhance the organizations operations while also being responsible for planning, coordinating, and implementing community events and projects. Under the general direction of the Executive Director, the Outreach and Special Events Coordinator is responsible for implementing a comprehensive approach to public engagement and communications along with coordinating special events and community projects. • Exceptional organizational skills, innovative ideas along with creative problem-solving skills • Know how to engage with community groups, committees and stakeholders to organize events, outreach and coordinate volunteers needed for all activities • Ability to prioritize, organize, and manage multiple and simultaneous projects. Outreach and Marketing: • Skilled in preparing social or digital media communications through audio or visual presentations. · 2 + years of experience with event planning required preferably working with the general public.
