PARK/EVENTS ASSOCIATE (PART-TIME)

CLASS CHARACTERISTICS This is a part-time, at-will class that supports a wide range of activities at assigned city park and/or event venues, setting up facilities and equipment to contract specifications in a timely manner. PRINCIPAL DUTIES (Illustrative Only) Duties may include but are not limited to the following: For all assignments: Greets and assists customers promptly and professionally; interacts and communicates with clients, the public, and vendors. QUALIFICATIONS Knowledge of: Principles and methods of coordinating and executing event activities; Event activities for all age groups, including but not limited to sports, art and crafts, games, drama, and music; Principles and practices of delivering outstanding customer service; Applicable Federal, State, City, and Department policies, procedures, rules, and regulations pertaining to safety, operations, and emergency situations related to public assembly; Proper usage, storage, and maintenance of equipment and inventory; and Computer equipment and software applications commonly used in business. Previous experience performing a variety of event activities, which has included working with the public, in a recreational, entertainment, or similar public use facility is desired.
