About the position Responsibilities • Oversee, facilitate, and manage all aspects of event planning • Coordinate and manage travel, accommodations, and expenses • Work on multiple events for a variety of clients simultaneously • Manage and document communications • Manage program budgets and track expenses • Work directly with registrants on challenges or inquiries • Develop and maintain solid professional relationships with all suppliers, clients, and registrants • Work with the marketing team to deliver event marketing communications, on-line registration, email promotional campaigns, and communications to participants • Create and manage timeline, itinerary, agenda, evaluations, and post reports • Update client and supplier partners in event planning software • Serve on on-site management team to deliver program excellence • Manage communications and program details in event planning software • Keep abreast of industry trends and participate in professional online training opportunities to grow in profession • Perform daily administrative functions and other duties • Work collaboratively with marketing team, sales team, and leadership to manage program deliverables Requirements • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Exceptional and highly proficient computer skills in Google and Microsoft Suite (Excel, Publisher, Word, Power Point, OneNote) • Knowledge and experience with event planning software • High propensity for time management, task management, details, and organization • Strong understanding and experience of event management, corporate incentives, meetings and/or group travel preferred • Takes initiative, accountable for meeting deadlines, working independently, and priority management • Innovative and resourceful, actively seeks opportunities to improve events • Experienced at negotiating and building partnerships with suppliers • Exceptional client service skills and enjoys collaborating with people • High energy, positive, professional attitude, pride in work product • Exceptional team member: willing to roll up your sleeves and pitch in to help your colleagues when needed • Punctual, dependable, respectful Nice-to-haves • 1 year of events management experience (Preferred) • 1 year of customer service experience (Preferred) Benefits • Full-time position • In-office work environment • Opportunity to work with a dedicated team of professionals
