**Overview:** We are seeking a highly organized, proactive, and creative Programming and Event Coordinator to join our team at Temple Beth Israel. This full-time role is responsible for the planning, logistics, marketing, and volunteer coordination for a wide range of programs and events that reflect our values of inclusivity, learning, justice, and tradition. **Responsibilities:** • Plan and support a wide range of programs for all ages, including holiday celebrations, concerts, lectures, fundraisers, and more • Collaborate with clergy, staff, and volunteers to develop and manage a comprehensive programming calendar • Coordinate with guest speakers, performers, and educators • Oversee event logistics, including space booking, catering, setup/teardown, supplies, and tech needs • Create production timelines and event-day coordination plans • Draft event descriptions and updates for newsletters, email, and the website • Collaborate with a graphic designer to develop promotional materials • Help implement strategies to boost visibility and attendance • Recruit and support volunteers for event-related needs • Act as liaison among volunteers, committees, and staff • Be a welcoming face at events and a helpful voice by phone and email • Support inclusive and accessible programming that reflects TBI's values • *Qualifications:** • Working knowledge of major Jewish holidays and customs • Experience coordinating events or programs (2 or more years preferred) • Excellent organizational and communication skills • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines • Experience as a stage manager for cultural organizations or similar event-based coordination role is a strong asset, but not required • Comfort with basic tech tools: Zoom, Google Workspace, Canva, and email marketing platforms • Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including occasional evenings and weekends • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds for event setup and supplies • *Benefits:** • Salary range: $48,000 to $58,000 annually, depending on experience • Health insurance, vacation and sick time, and secular holidays off • Jewish holidays are generally offered as time off; however, due to the nature of this role, the coordinator will be expected to work on some Jewish holidays to support programs and events • Professional development opportunities • A collaborative, mission-driven work environment
