Golden Hour Designs is seeking an outgoing and charismatic Programs & Events Assistant to assist with our mobile charm bar at local farmer’s markets and special programming both on and off location at our headquarters in Oak Park. Position: Programs & Events Assistant (Seasonal) Event Facilitation Support [35%] • Assist the lead facilitator in executing in-store or off-site group programs for children and adults • Support with preparing materials in advance for upcoming events • Engage children and families with high energy and enthusiasm • Proactively support customer needs and create an inclusive environment • Serve as the primary event clean-up staff including assisting with event tear down and cleaning reusable materials • Responsible for maintaining accurate inventory systems in collaboration with the Programs & Events Coordinator • Perform other duties as assigned by the Programs & Events Coordinator and the General Manager. Requirements • Must be 21+ years old • High school diploma or equivalent • Reliable transportation to and from event sites (markets are local only at this time) • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs (event materials and product bins) • Previous experience working with children or the public in a creative or educational setting • Previous experience with Shopify POS and Slack preferred, but not required • Background check and references required
