Introduction:The California Consortium for Urban Indian Health (CCUIH) is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional Event Coordinator to oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of a Statewide Tribal/Urban Indian Opioid Summit, set to take place in June 2025. Scope of Work:The Event Coordinator will collaborate with CCUIH staff and partners to ensure the successful planning and execution of the Summit. • Coordinate with CCUIH staff and partners to identify key objectives, themes, and deliverables for the Summit. • Experience with Diverse Stakeholders: Proven experience working with a wide range of stakeholders, including tribal leaders, healthcare professionals, government agencies, community organizations, and other key partners. • Experience in Culturally Sensitive Events: Prior experience working with Indigenous or underserved communities, and a demonstrated understanding of cultural protocols, traditions, and the specific needs of AIAN communities • Experience with Health or Social Issues: Background in planning events focused on healthcare, public health, or social justice issues (e.g., substance abuse, mental health) is a plus, especially related to the opioid crisis.
