Overview
FIRC Group is seeking a high-performing, detail-oriented Sales & Catering Manager (Weddings & Social Events) to drive revenue and execute exceptional events across multiple hotel properties and event venues.

This role owns the full lifecycle of wedding and social business—from managing inbound inquiries and converting leads into booked revenue, to planning, detailing, and executing events with precision. The ideal candidate brings a strong network within the wedding and social community, excels at consultative selling, and can translate client vision into well-executed events through detailed planning and coordination.

POSITION OVERVIEW

This role is responsible for selling and detailing events across a portfolio of 3 hotels totaling 278 guest rooms and 25,000+ sq. ft. of event space, with additional growth opportunities in the pipeline.

The Sales & Catering Manager will:

Build and maintain a strong referral network within the wedding and social event community
Convert inbound inquiries into booked, high-value events
Detail and manage all aspects of events including menus, timelines, floorplans, and logistics
Serve as the primary client contact from inquiry through event execution

Success in this role is driven by the ability to build relationships, convert opportunities, and consistently deliver events that generate repeat and referral business.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Sales & Relationship Management

Develop and maintain strong relationships with wedding planners, event producers, and key vendor partners to drive inbound wedding and social business
Actively network within the local wedding and social event community to build brand awareness and referral pipelines
Manage and convert inbound inquiries into booked events through consultative selling and customized proposals
Conduct site tours and deliver compelling, experience-driven sales presentations
Maximize total revenue by selling guest rooms, catering, bar packages, and event space
Manage the full sales cycle from inquiry through contract execution

Event Planning & Catering Execution

Serve as the primary point of contact for clients post-sale, guiding them through the planning process
Develop customized event proposals including menu planning, bar selections, and overall event flow
Create, manage, and finalize detailed Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) ensuring accuracy and clarity across all departments
Develop event floorplans and layouts using diagramming tools (e.g., All Seated)
Coordinate event timelines, room setups, vendor logistics, and special requests
Lead and participate in pre-convention and internal event meetings to ensure seamless execution
Partner closely with culinary, banquet, and operations teams to deliver high-quality, on-brand events
Ensure all event details are executed according to client expectations and hotel standards

Account & Administrative Management

Maintain organized and accurate client records, contracts, and event documentation
Ensure all event details are clearly communicated across departments
Prepare sales reports, forecasts, and internal communications as required
Participate in daily business review meetings, sales meetings, and training sessions

Market Engagement

Stay current on wedding and social event trends, pricing strategies, and competitive landscape
Attend bridal shows, networking events, and industry functions to generate visibility and relationships

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

2+ years of hotel sales, catering sales, or event management experience required
Direct wedding and/or social event experience strongly preferred
Proven ability to both sell and detail events end-to-end
Hands-on experience creating BEOs, event timelines, catering menus, and floorplans
Strong understanding of banquet operations and event execution
Experience in a Sales & Catering environment or multi-property setting preferred

SYSTEMS & TECHNICAL SKILLS

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Experience with sales, catering, and hotel systems including Delphi (Salesforce), All Seated Diagramming Software, Choice Advantage preferred
Experience using Cvent, Canva, ChatGPT, Gemini is a plus

EDUCATION

High school diploma required
Bachelor’s degree preferred

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs
Ability to stand, walk event spaces, and be present during events as needed

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

Base Salary: $50,000 – $60,000
Incentive Plan: Sales incentive bonus plan with monthly, quarterly, and annual earning potential
Total Compensation: Compensation package commensurate with experience
