Senior Event Planner - Luxury Resorts

Our client, a renowned global hospitality group, is seeking a highly experienced and creative Senior Event Planner to join their dynamic team. This is a fully remote position, offering the flexibility to manage prestigious events from anywhere. You will be responsible for conceptualizing, planning, and executing a wide range of high-profile events, including corporate functions, luxury weddings, and exclusive product launches, primarily for our luxury resort portfolio. The ideal candidate possesses an impeccable eye for detail, exceptional organizational skills, and a proven ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously under tight deadlines. You will work closely with clients to understand their vision, budget, and objectives, translating their needs into memorable and seamless event experiences. This involves sourcing and negotiating with vendors, managing event budgets, developing detailed event timelines, and overseeing on-site execution (when required for specific critical moments or client needs, with travel arrangements covered). A key part of your role will be to maintain strong relationships with a network of trusted suppliers, including caterers, florists, entertainers, and technical production companies. You will also be responsible for developing innovative event concepts and ensuring that every aspect of the event, from invitations to post-event follow-up, reflects the high standards of our client's brand. The ability to anticipate potential challenges and proactively implement solutions is crucial. You will leverage technology and digital tools to enhance event planning and client communication, ensuring a smooth and transparent process. This role requires exceptional interpersonal and negotiation skills, as well as a passion for creating extraordinary experiences. You will be expected to stay abreast of the latest trends in event design, hospitality, and luxury markets. Responsibilities: Plan, manage, and execute a diverse portfolio of high-end events for luxury resorts. Liaise directly with clients to define event scope, objectives, and deliverables. Develop detailed event proposals, timelines, and budgets, ensuring profitability. Source, negotiate with, and manage relationships with vendors and suppliers. Oversee event logistics, including venue selection, catering, décor, entertainment, and technical production. Create innovative and unique event concepts that align with client needs and brand standards. Ensure flawless on-site execution for critical event phases (travel provided). Manage guest lists, RSVPs, and seating arrangements. Provide exceptional client service throughout the entire event planning process. Conduct post-event evaluations and analysis to identify areas for improvement. Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in event management. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Marketing, Event Management, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience. Minimum of 7 years of experience in event planning, with a focus on luxury events and/or hospitality. Proven track record of successfully planning and executing complex, high-profile events. Exceptional organizational, project management, and multitasking skills. Strong negotiation and vendor management abilities. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and client relationship skills. Proficiency in event management software and MS Office Suite. Creative flair and a passion for delivering unique experiences. Ability to work independently and effectively in a remote setting. Flexibility to travel as needed for key event phases or client meetings.
