About Le Basque

Le Basque is an established Miami-based catering and event production company serving a sophisticated mix of private, corporate, luxury brand and institutional clients throughout South Florida.

We are seeking an experienced Event Sales & Producer who can bring both strong client skills and hands-on event-production experience to our team. The right candidate will already understand the demands of the catering and events business and, after becoming familiar with Le Basque's systems and standards, be comfortable assuming responsibility for clients and events from initial inquiry through execution.

This is a full-time, in-person position based in Miami.

The Role

The Event Sales & Producer develops business, manages client relationships and produces the events they sell. The position combines sales, planning and production and works closely with Le Basque's culinary, operations, design and administrative teams.

· Develop new catering and event-production business throughout Miami and South Florida

· Respond to and convert qualified incoming inquiries

· Build and maintain long-term relationships with corporate, social and private clients

· Develop and maintain relationships with event planners, venues and industry partners

· Prepare proposals, estimates, presentations and client agreements

· Plan and produce events from initial proposal through on-site execution

· Coordinate venues, vendors and internal departments throughout the planning process

· Conduct site visits and participate in client and vendor meetings

· Manage event budgets and maintain established profitability guidelines

· Represent Le Basque professionally with clients, venues, vendors and industry partners

Experience & Qualifications

Candidates should have substantial professional experience in catering, event production or a closely related high-end events environment and be capable of independently managing events after becoming familiar with Le Basque's internal procedures.

· Minimum 5 years of relevant catering, event sales, production or event-management experience

· Proven experience selling and producing high-end corporate, social or private events

· Strong understanding of off-premise catering and event logistics

· Strong knowledge of Miami and South Florida venues, vendors and the local events industry

· Established local industry relationships strongly preferred

· An existing client network or book of business is highly desirable

· Demonstrated ability to develop new business and cultivate long-term client relationships

· Experience preparing proposals, estimates and contracts

· Understanding of event budgets, margins and profitability

· Excellent organizational, communication and client-management skills

· Strong written and verbal English; Spanish is beneficial

· Culinary, food-and-beverage, design or event-production knowledge is beneficial

· Strong computer skills

· Excellent attention to detail and professional judgment

· Reliable transportation

· Ability to work evenings and weekends when required by the event schedule

Compensation & Benefits

Annual compensation, including projected commissions, starts at approximately $65,000, with experience, an established client base and strong sales performance providing the opportunity to earn $125,000 or more annually.
