Position Summary

As the Senior Events Manager, you will lead the strategic direction and overall performance of our events portfolio across the Americas, including in-person, virtual, and hybrid gatherings, workshops, and webinars. Your expertise will ensure event success by establishing clear priorities, metrics, and frameworks that promote member engagement, brand recognition, and revenue generation. You will be the driving force behind ISC2's virtual events and webinars, championing continuous improvement in design, technology, scalability, and attendee satisfaction.

In this role, you will mentor and guide a dedicated team of event planners, empowering them to deliver financially successful events that align with our organizational goals for engagement and growth.

Responsibilities

Team Leadership & Collaboration Provide strategic governance and oversight for the Americas Events team, ensuring cohesive delivery across all event formats. Lead annual planning, setting team goals and timelines that reflect our organizational priorities. Manage regional event budgets and analytics to guide decision-making. Analyze event performance and attendee feedback to refine future programming. Engage with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on audience acquisition and content development. Establish team priorities and operational procedures that foster efficiency and excellence. Cultivate an inclusive team culture that champions ISC2 values. Budgeting and Reporting Oversee regional event performance metrics, including financial outcomes and attendee satisfaction. Translate performance data into actionable recommendations for leadership on investment and priority-setting. Conduct competitive analysis to benchmark performance and identify opportunities for growth. Ensure accurate management of event budgets while promoting responsible spending. Develop and maintain scalable operational frameworks for the Events team. Identify risks and strategize mitigations as necessary. Program Ownership: Virtual Events & Webinars Define the vision and metrics for ISC2's global virtual events and webinars, ensuring sustainability and long-term value. Act as the strategic lead for our virtual event programming, enhancing attendee engagement through innovative approaches. Oversee production teams to ensure consistent, high-quality event delivery. Collaborate with various teams to optimize audience engagement and acquisition strategies. Manage the global webinar calendar and production processes to maintain quality standards. Operational & Technical Oversight Supervise ISC2's event technology ecosystem, managing vendor relationships and integrations. Evaluate technology performance and drive the adoption of improvements that enhance event efficiency and attendee experiences. Contribute thought leadership to relevant committees and initiatives. Stay informed on event management trends and best practices. Work with stakeholders to enhance workflows and establish best practices documentation. Understand ISC2 certifications and services to enrich member engagement during events. Behavioral Competencies

Proven experience leading distributed or remote teams with a focus on coaching and talent development. Qualifications

Strong written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency with MS Office Suite and adaptability to new software. Experience working cross-functionally within a global organization. Significant experience leading and developing teams, especially in remote settings. A willingness to learn about AI tools and technologies. Education and Work Experience

Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, business, or a related field. 10+ years of experience managing in-person, hybrid, and virtual events. 5+ years of experience with virtual platforms, technology integrations, and event technologies (such as CVENT). CMP or other event certifications are preferred. Experience in cybersecurity, technology, SaaS, or membership associations is advantageous. Familiarity with event technology tools, mobile apps, webinar platforms, and CRM integrations is desirable. Physical and Mental Demands

Willingness to work extended hours for events when necessary. Ability to travel domestically up to 20%. Capability to sit or stand for long periods and use standard office equipment. Occasional lifting of up to 30 lbs. during on-site event support. Equal Employment Opportunity Statement
