Special Event Assistant

The Washington Area Community Center is a 143,000 sq/ft facility that houses a fitness center, family leisure and 8 lane competition pools, 1,020 seat auditorium, banquet facility, meeting rooms, senior room, and library. Essential Job Functions: • Securing and managing wedding receptions or any wedding related event • Communication with wedding prospects to schedule and execute facility tours and consultations • Management of rentals, calendar of events and Miller/Senior room; including the Five Points Speaker Series • Day-to-day general office duties include, but are not limited to, inventory, invoicing, billing, room layouts, hot notes and organizational duties • Assist with updating and reviewing events’ contracts to ensure guests’ needs are met • Scheduling and management of the Community Gallery Wall as well as the artists • In the event of the Community Relations & Special Events Manager’s absence, managing any events scheduled or details needed in their absence • Ability to work a variety of scheduled hours based on performances and other scheduled events • Shifts may include days, evenings and weekends • Performing all other duties as assigned Shift Details: • This is either a part-time or full-time role • Minimum 25 hours per week • Available during the week, nights and weekends, depending on event schedules Role-Specific Benefits: • Competitive wages offered • $20-$24 per hour, depending on experience • Free Five Points membership Five Points Washington Benefits: • To learn more about Five Points Washington Benefits: https://fivepointswashington.org/employment-benefits/
