Special Events Assistant Director

The Special Events Assistant Director at the University of Rochester plays a pivotal role in overseeing key activities within the Eastman School of Music Office of Advancement. Reporting directly to the Director of Alumni Engagement, this position operates with a degree of independence and is responsible for leading various high-visibility engagement opportunities and events. The position requires a proactive approach to event management, including the development of event objectives, budget management, and coordination of logistics such as venue selection, vendor management, and on-site support during events. The Assistant Director will also oversee the collection and analysis of event data to drive engagement strategies and improve future events. In addition to event management, the Assistant Director will supervise two student workers, providing guidance and support in their roles.
