We are currently seeking a highly motivated and energetic Special Events Manager to join our team and lead the planning, coordination, and execution of exceptional events that enhance our organization's presence and engagement. This role serves as the driving force behind crafting memorable experiences that resonate deeply with our audiences, from concept development through to flawless event delivery. The Special Events Manager will be responsible for aligning event concepts and strategies with broader organizational objectives, including marketing initiatives and fundraising efforts.

Proven experience in event marketing, event planning, or hospitality management
Excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with clients, vendors, guests, and team members
Must have reliable transportation
Demonstrated ability in budgeting, financial management, and upselling techniques
Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines
Knowledge of event management software tools
Ability to adapt quickly to changing circumstances while maintaining a positive attitude and professional demeanor
Strong negotiation skills
Must be able to lift, carry, transport, and setup a variety of materials weighing up to 50 lbs
Working knowledge of Hawaii Academy and its surrounding community resources preferred
