StanCorp Financial Group is hiring: Event Planner - Onsite Concierge in Portland

Act as focal point for meeting and event support, lending expertise, leadership, and project management as needed in direct support of organizational and divisional objectives. The position will manage the operations of the Portland Hub space, a key role in representing The Standard's onsite spaces as a place for employees to connect, engage and learn. Principal Duties & Responsibilities: 50% Event Planning & Execution Ownership of all phases of assigned event execution, including project plan, budget management, regular communications with Director, Events, and leadership team, on-site management of all event deliverables, and post-event analysis. Skills and Background You'll Need Exceptional organization, event planning and logistics background Experience using technology tools to track metrics and results in support of the ROI for field events Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills Creativity and problem-solving skills Self-motivated; highly driven to seek efficiencies in processes Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, and Salesforce recommended Strategy driven, with strong focus on metrics and data Job Specifications: Required education: High School Diploma Preferred education: Bachelors degree in business administration, marketing, or related field Required experience: 2-3 years in corporate event and/or meeting planning with large scale attendance at the national level Preferred professional licensure or certification: CMP Location: Employees in this role must be available to commute to an office or otherwise must be in a specific geographic location to perform the functions of the job.
