Trade Show & Events Specialist

This is an exciting time to be in Salt Lake: a brand new $5.1B SLC International Airport expansion, a recently opened 700-key Hyatt Regency convention hotel, several new hotels in the development pipeline, population and business growth (Utah has been the fastest growing state in the nation To capitalize on this incredible growth and to achieve Visit Salt Lake’s ambitious vision, we’re seeking an efficient and collaborative Trade Show & Events Specialist to join our team. Team Support & Industry Monitoring • Monitor competitor and industry activity on platforms such as LinkedIn and share relevant insights with the team (group effort) • Assist in cross-departmental coordination when multiple teams are involved in a trade show or hosted event Qualifications: • 2+ years of experience in event planning, trade show logistics, or a related field • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Ability to travel and work flexible hours as needed for events • A collaborative mindset and ability to work with various internal and external stakeholders • Resourceful, self-motivated, and solutions-oriented • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace; experience with shared drives, Asana, and CRM tools is a plus • Familiarity with the meetings, tourism, or hospitality industry; thrives in fast-paced environments with shifting priorities; a creative eye for branding, layout, or presentation is a bonus • Familiarity with Social Media Platforms like LinkedIn is a plus.
