Position Overview About the Position The Vice President of Event Development will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive event development strategies, managing sales teams, and building strong relationships with clients and stakeholders. This role requires excellent communication skills, a creative approach to marketing, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities • Develop and implement effective event development strategies to drive ticket sales and revenue growth • Manage sales teams to achieve sales targets and exceed revenue expectations • Buid strong relationships with clients, promoters, agents, and other industry professionals • Create and supervise marketing plans for ticketed events, including group sales, public relations, media placement, direct mail, promotional development, and non-profit opportunities • Direct the public relations image of the facility, establishing and maintaining relationships with media, industry influencers, and key community and strategic partners • Manage premium services department and contract renewals, ticketing questions, and provide superior customer service • Recognize opportunities to receive publicity from building operations, activities, awards/honors, etc., and share with local, regional, or national media • Act as a creative director with internal staff and outside advertising agencies to develop marketing collateral as needed
