In addition, there will be opportunities to represent The Sugarplum Cake Shoppe at wedding shows within the community. The duties of the position are as follows: • Provide premiere customer service to all our wedding couples using key responses and actions as taught and expected of all Sugarplum Staff • This role will handle the many practical/detail oriented pieces of our wedding business (processing wedding orders, organizing/picking up equipment from our venue partners, assisting with setting sampling/consultation appointments, creating weekly schedules, delivery of wedding orders). • Waiting on customers at the bakery when needed • Handling customer questions and taking orders via the phone/email • 30-40 hours per week: Tuesday - Saturday • This position reports directly to the business owner Position Requirements • Must be 18 years of age or older • Must be highly organized and possess strong attention to detail • Must deliver friendly, courteous and prompt customer service • Have an interest in cake decorating/baking • Able and willing to interpret, understand and follow instructions • Must be a problem solver • Able and willing to work well with others as a team member • Able and willing to read, write and perform simple math problems • Must have strong, pleasant phone manner and be able to accurately and completely take orders and respond to customer questions and needs by phone • Must have strong email communication skills • Must have basic computer skills to complete orders, schedule cake samplings/appointments and other duties as needed • Must be available to represent The Sugarplum at wedding shows in the community • Must be able to qualify for use of the delivery vehicles operated by The Sugarplum Cake Shoppe • Must have proof of reliable transportation and required insurance, if needed Are you able to work traditional hours on those days?
