Wedding Planning Assistant

Position Overview

Leigh & Co. Events is on the lookout for detail-oriented and enthusiastic Wedding Planning Assistants to join our team. This exciting role is perfect for individuals passionate about weddings and looking to gain valuable experience in the event planning industry.

As a Wedding Planning Assistant, you will work closely with our Lead Planners to create unforgettable wedding experiences. Your responsibilities will include event setup, ensuring guest satisfaction, liaising with vendors, and managing the timeline for the day. This position offers an invaluable opportunity for hands-on learning while collaborating with seasoned professionals.

The role primarily involves working on weekends, with compensation of $150 per event.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in the setup of the ceremony and reception spaces according to the designated floor plan.Arrange décor items such as signage, candles, favors, menus, and other personal details.Maintain cleanliness and organization of event spaces, ensuring they remain ready for presentation.Welcome and guide vendors upon their arrival at the event.Help organize the ceremony by lining up the wedding party and coordinating timing for the processional.Manage guest flow and address any inquiries guests may have during the event.Monitor the reception timeline in coordination with the Lead Planner.Assist with transitions during room flips and reception changes when needed.Coordinate special moments such as cake cutting, grand entrances, speeches, first dances, bouquet tosses, and other scheduled events.Collect personal items and ensure all designated décor is packed appropriately at the event's conclusion.Support problem-solving efforts with a calm, professional demeanor.Represent Leigh & Co. with exceptional professionalism, courtesy, and service.
