We have a perfect opportunity for YOU! Minneapolis Event Centers is GROWING and adding two more venues to its portfolio which means we are looking to add more Wedding Venue Planners to our team! Exciting!

A Wedding Venue Planner is someone who has a deep passion for planning, customer service and catering. Planners are problem-solvers with strong work ethic and leadership skills. A Venue Planner understands that client satisfaction is key, especially with venue planning and catering services. Must be well-organized and competent in vendor management. Communication skills and attention to detail will set apart the best among the candidates. Add a shot of enthusiasm and passion for the job and you’ll be our ideal candidate. The goal is to organize unforgettable weddings that will ensure the entertainment of participants and facilitate the completion of business objectives.

Responsibilities:

Understand requirements for each wedding per client and management
Update event orders as needed
Plan event with attention to financial and time constraints
Strong food and beverage knowledge and experience
Work schedule is Monday-Friday 8am-5pm - with the exception to work a few events a year which hours would be 11am-8pm or so.
All hours are worked on-site at the main office in Minneapolis. Sorry, no remote work opportunities available at this time.

Skills

Proven experience as an event coordinator
A proven track record of organizing successful events
Have a "can-do" positive attitude - this is a MUST!
Proficient in MS Office
Excellent vendor management skills
Outstanding communication and negotiation ability
Well-organized with multi-tasking skills
Able to handle stress and remain calm
Problem-solving ability
Degree in hospitality management, public relations or relevant field is preferred

Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
