Assistant Director Of Event Management

In this role, you'll serve as the primary Event Manager for select events (soccer, swimming and diving, cross-country, football gameday support), providing leadership and logistical expertise, meeting regularly with athletic department staff, campus partners, clients, and external vendors to ensure seamless event execution. Responsibilities: Directs daily operations of events, including monitoring the budget and/or supervising event planning staff to ensure that operations run efficiently, economically, and in line with department goals and policy. • 40% Establishes and executes day-to-day operational functions and goals of events to align with existing strategy • 5% May exercise supervisory authority, including hiring, transferring, suspending, promoting, managing conduct and performance, discharging, assigning, rewarding, disciplining, and/or approving hours worked of at least 2.0 FTE or equivalent employees • 15% Identifies, proposes, and implements new or revised unit operational policies and procedures • 10% Monitors the budget and approves expenditures • 30% Establishes and sustains relationships with internal and external stakeholders Institutional Statement on Diversity: Diversity is a source of strength, creativity, and innovation for UW-Madison.
