Assistant Event Coordinator

Calmerin Designs and Events (cde) is a family-owned and operated event planning, coordination, and design company based in California. We’ve had the privilege of creating everything from intimate gatherings of 10 guests to grand weddings with 500 attendees. Our mission is to craft personalized events that reflect each client’s unique style and personality. We’re passionate about what we do — blending logistics, creativity, and just the right amount of humor.

THE JOB:

5–12 labor hours per event
Weekend availability required (Friday–Sunday)
Opportunities based on event bookings
10% commission on confirmed events and/or products sold through you
Minimum 1 year of event coordination experience preferred (training available for passionate candidates with less experience)
Must be willing to travel to venues (carpool available, mileage reimbursed)
Dinner provided
Includes a one-hour dinner break and two paid 15-minute breaks
All-black attire required (comfortable footwear recommended); uniforms provided
Supplies provided: company badge, business cards, clipboard, walkie-talkies

THE DUTIES:

Maintain professionalism at all times — approachable, composed, solution-oriented
Greet and assist guests; ensure an exceptional experience
Confirm on-time arrival of vendors
Assist with the arrival and coordination of the wedding entourage
Set up décor and ensure the venue is ready for guests
Cue ceremony and reception entrances
Keep the event on schedule by coordinating with DJ, photographers, videographers, and key participants
Provide day-of problem-solving and hands-on support
Assist with clean-up post-event
