Role Description The Assistant Event Planner is the "day-of" coordinator for events based in the SF Bay Area. This position supports the lead planner with creating timelines, floorplans, managing checklists, and tracking key milestones. Responsibilities include communicating with clients and vendors, assisting with venue research and site visits, organizing event materials, and helping oversee setup and breakdown on event days. Candidates should possess strong Event Planning and Event Management skills to assist with timelines, logistics, and on-site coordination or be willing to learn.Candidates should possess excellent Communication skills to interact with clients, vendors, and team members professionally and clearly.Candidates should demonstrate strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.Candidates should be comfortable working on-site at events, including evenings and weekends, be able to stand and move for extended periods and be able to lift objects less than 50 pounds.Proficiency with office productivity tools (e.g., spreadsheets, word processing, email, and calendars) and basic event management software is beneficial.Previous experience in event planning, hospitality, or a related field is preferred, along with a high school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary education in event management or a related discipline is a plus.
