**About the Role**

This is a hands-on role. You'll bring in catering and event business and see it through, shaping the plan, finalizing the details, working with our culinary, banquet and hotel teams, and being there for execution when needed.

**What You'll Do**

***Sales and Client Relationships***

* Meet catering and event revenue goals through lead response, site visits, proposals, negotiation, and repeat and referral business.
* Keep accurate records of leads, pipeline, forecasts and lost business in our sales systems.
* Partner with the Director of Sales on strategy, group-room opportunities and community relationships.

***Event Planning and Details***

* Guide each event from signed contract to final handoff, including menus, guarantees, timelines, room diagrams, AV, rentals, dietary needs and special requests.
* Prepare and finalize Banquet Event Orders (BEOs), client changes and event financial details, including deposits and approvals.
* Lead BEO and pre-event meetings with culinary, banquets, front office, housekeeping and engineering.

***Event Execution***

* Be on property for events when needed, including evenings, weekends and holidays, to oversee quality, service flow, setup and breakdown.
* Work with banquet captains and the event team on staffing and real-time solutions, and lead, coach and schedule event associates as assigned.
* Serve as the client's main contact during events and handle changes as they happen.
* Uphold food safety, responsible alcohol service, fire and occupancy requirements, and brand standards.

***Financial and Compliance***

* Manage event profitability, including labor plans, menu and rental costs, event charges and post-event results.
* Make sure deposits, final counts and event paperwork are correct and on time for billing.
* Make sure gratuities, service charges, cash handling and tip reporting follow Palette policies and applicable law. Managers do not take part in tip pools.

**What We're Looking For**

* Three to five years of hotel catering, event sales or banquet operations experience, with leadership experience preferred.
* Strong knowledge of contracts, BEOs, banquet service, revenue tracking and event cost control, and experience with hotel sales and catering systems.
* Excellent organization, communication and follow-through under pressure.
* Flexibility to work event evenings, weekends and holidays.
* Ability to stand and walk for long periods, help with occasional event setup, and lift up to 25 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally, with or without reasonable accommodation.
