Celebration of Life Event Manager

This Event Manager role is responsible for creating and coordinating Celebration of Life personalized services designed to create a meaningful remembrance that reflects the life and passions of the families' loved ones. Work with locations' leaders and funeral directors to establish and maintain personalized sample vignettes for displayTravel to locations and provide ongoing event planning and implementation education to staff to ensure celebrations result in anticipated outcomesEstablish and maintain locations' event related inventories such as linens, runners, overlays, utility kits and craft suppliesBuild trusting relationships with location staff to ensure events are set up timely and fully staffed throughout eventsIdentify, establish and maintain local and online vendor lists to accommodate personalized service needsEstablish corporate purchasing card, maintain expense tracking in the company's information system and code receipts according to policies and guidelinesMonthly submit revenue and expenditure reporting to market leadershipEstablish annual revenue goals and expenditures with market leadershipEvent Management Five years hospitality or event planning work experience including customer service, souring, revenue and expenditure trackingTwo years funeral industry experience preferred but not requiredKnowledge, Skills and Abilities Frequent, continuous periods of time standing, up 6 hours per daySitting continuously for many hours per day, up to 6 hours per dayClimbing stairs to access buildings frequentlyPhysical Demands Benefits: MedicalDentalVisionFlexible Spending Accounts (health care and dependent care)Health Savings Account with Company ContributionSick LeaveShort-Term DisabilityLong-Term DisabilityLife InsuranceVoluntary Accidental Death or Dismemberment InsuranceDependent Life InsuranceSCI 401(k) Retirement Savings Plan with Company matchEmployee Assistance Program
