OverviewTHIS IS AN INVITATION TO BID. The ideal candidate will interact with project sponsors, focusing on customer service and an understanding of client expectations and needs.ResponsibilitiesPlans and organizes live and virtual meetings and events;Implements an event strategy to achieve financial, operational, and outreach objectives;Gathers meeting or event requirements and researches and recommends adequate channels or venues;Coordinates meeting logistics, including attendee registration, transportation, accommodations, meals, and technology;Conducts rehearsals and system checks of all equipment and connectivity;Maintains relationships with vendors for event support services;Coordinates budgets and ensures that events stay within cost projections;Contributes moderately complex aspects of a project in a team environment.QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Meeting and Event Management, Hospitality Management, Business, Communications, Public Relations, or Marketing is required;At least five (5) years of relevant experience is required;DoD-issued Secret Security Clearance is required at start;Must be highly organized and detail-oriented to manage multiple tasks, vendors, and timelines effectively;Creativity to develop unique event ideas and the ability to handle unexpected changes is vital in this role;Ability to adapt and remain calm is essential for this role.About GBSIEstablished in 1995, Global Business Solutions, Inc. offers customers a distinctive blend of information technology capabilities, education and training services, and information assurance solutions.
