Conference and Events Planner

The Conference and Event Planner will focus the role on the planning responsibilities to meet the growing demands of the Global and National Security Institute. This new classification will give the Conference and Event Planner position a direct focus on the logistical details and setup process for events. This position will handle the vast requirements of setting up an event or conference including speaker management, scheduling parking areas, Bull Runners for speaker's transportation, and event security. Serves as primary liaison with event speakers and internal/external constituencies on matters relating to program activities; represents the unit with respect to program activities on a local, regional, and/or national basis. This position requires a Bachelor's degree in communication, marketing, public relations, hospitality management, business management, digital media, or related field, with two years of experience in related positions; or a Master's degree in the fields listed above; or an equivalent combination of related education and experience.
