Responsibilities Attend an event briefing prior to the start of the event in order to execute all aspects of the event.Support coordination for load‑in, set‑up, and tear‑down of events and ensure that procedures are followed and problems solved.Assist with end‑of‑event walk‑through with caterers and vendors, ensuring all requirements are met to leave the facility clean and free of damage, and complete end‑of‑event report.Serve as one of the on‑site support contacts for clients during events and maintain hands‑on event support during the event.Assist with volunteer assignments and coordinate breaks as needed.Participate in scheduled meetings and training sessions.Communicate with the Engineering, Audio/Visual, and Facilities staff to ensure that all exhibits, electronics, and lighting in the gallery are functioning properly.Attend weekly Special Events meetings and other meetings, as necessary.Maintain current knowledge about The Tech’s programs, IMAX films, exhibits, and other guest‑related information.Complete additional related tasks or duties as assigned by the supervisor/manager. Requirements and Skills 1+ years experience in customer service, event coordination, and/or execution. Working Conditions and Schedule Flexible schedule that is able to match availability to event scheduling needs.Ability to work in a public setting interacting with visitors, vendors, and clients and follow required safety protocols.Ability to adhere to The Tech’s grooming guidelines and project a professional image during an event.Physical ability to lift and move furniture up to 50 lbs during set‑up and tear‑down.
