Alabama State University, Chief of Staff, invites applications for the position of Event Assistant. The Event Assistant reports to the Executive Director of Operations and Events Management. Processes all Facility/Event Requests Maintains the facilities reservation event calendar Provides administrative support for all events Assists with communicating information through written correspondence, and oral communication Assists with providing information and guidance for clients in order to obtain accurate event specifications Assists with coordinating client services needs with catering, audio-visual, concessionaries, security and other requested services Assists with inputting, retrieving and updating event set-up information, and communicating to appropriate staff members Assists with finalizing clients’ requirements including set-up, equipment requirements and personnel needed for events Produces insurance reports, contract reports, and keeps a ledger of funds receipted from events Perform other duties as assigned Bachelor's degree with strong organizational and time management skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, detail oriented with a focus on quality and professionalism, must work well with a team and adapt to changing circumstances.
