Event Coordinator Assistant (FWS/NFWS)

Position Summary / Purpose: The Event Coordinator Assistant supports the Event Services Department by assisting with the planning, facilitation, and execution of campus events. This position works collaboratively with full-time staff, student workers, and external vendors to ensure successful event operations. Primary Responsibilities / Accountabilities / Essential Functions: Assist full-time Event Coordinators with assigned responsibilities, weekly duties, and designated tasks Support event planning, setup, execution, and breakdown for campus events Provide excellent customer service and professional communication to campus partners and guests Collaborate effectively with student employees, full-time staff, and external vendors Follow directions accurately while managing multiple tasks simultaneously Maintain organization and attention to detail in a fast-paced event environment Equipment Used and Responsibility: Microsoft Outlook Microsoft Excel Microsoft Word General office equipment Event-related equipment and supplies as assigned Qualifications: Strong multitasking skills with the ability to follow directions Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and prioritization skills Demonstrates initiative and ability to see tasks through to completion Strong time management and communication skills Reliable, dependable, and flexible with scheduling Experience / Education: Grand Canyon University is committed to a student-first policy.
