This particular role as an Event Coordinator sits within the Education and Member Services Department, which plays a critical role in supporting city officials through educational and networking programs. The department orchestrates more than 30 single and multi-day meetings annually, varying in size from intimate gatherings of around 100 attendees to large-scale conferences hosting up to 2,500 participants. As an Event Coordinator at Cal Cities, you will be responsible for comprehensive event support, including managing conference housing blocks, reviewing contracts and programs of events, coordinating shipments, organizing RFP responses, and maintaining accurate records within the Association Management System. This role requires exceptional attention to detail, a positive and proactive "can-do" attitude, and the ability to work collaboratively across departments and with external vendors.
