Responsibilities: • Design, implement, and maintain event management platform; develop and maintain processes, as well as scripts to manage and automate workflows related to event management • Integrate other monitoring tools and information technology (IT) systems to ensure seamless data ingestion and notification • Conduct/participate in proof of concepts (PoCs) to evaluate new monitoring tools, event management, as well as workflow/automation platforms and make recommendations to align with strategic initiatives • Collaborate with operations support teams and Network Operations Center (NOC) to enhance monitoring, alerting, and visualization capabilities • Keep updated with the latest industry trends and best practices in event management and automation Qualifications: • Minimum eight years of recent experience with and strong understanding of event management and related concepts including correlation, enrichment, and root cause analysis • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in computer science, information technology, or a related field is preferred • Proven experience in event monitoring, system administration, network management or a similar role; strong scripting skills (such as Python, Bash, PowerShell, JavaScript); admin level experience with event management tools (such as BigPanda, Moogsoft, Netcool) • Advanced practical experience with system integration and data flow management; knowledge of Configuration Management Database (CMDB) concept and practices; proficiency in Linux and Windows operating systems • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills; strong communication and collaboration abilities; capability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employment-based visa sponsorship now or in the future; KPMG LLP will not sponsor applicants for U.S. work visa status for this opportunity (no sponsorship is available for H-1B, L-1, TN, O-1, E-3, H-1B1, F-1, J-1, OPT, CPT or any other employment-based visa) KPMG complies with all local/state regulations regarding displaying salary ranges.
