Event Manager (Outdoor Year Round)

Job Title: Event Manager (SPANISH SPEAKING REQUIRED-Working Manager)

Location: Naples, Florida

Reports to: President

Position Overview:

We are seeking a compassionate, detail-oriented, and hands-on working manager to lead daily operations for our food distribution programs, including all pantry and mobile distribution events. In this full-time leadership role, you will be responsible for all events, ensuring every individual receives not only essential food support but also dignity, respect, and a welcoming experience.

As the Event Manager, you will oversee the consistency, efficiency, and integrity of all distribution services, while supporting accurate data management and volunteer engagement. This is a working manager position requiring active involvement in operations, event execution, and team leadership.

The ideal candidate is a strong, servant-leader with a heart for service, operational expertise, and a commitment to creating a positive, respectful, and empowering environment for clients, volunteers, and team members.

Key Responsibilities:
Event & Program Oversight

Serve as the primary lead responsible for all events, including planning, execution, and oversight of pantry sites and mobile distribution events (up to 20 sites).
Lead weekly meetings with Warehouse Manager, Outreach Manager, and VP of Operations to address ideas, resolve issues, and ensure smooth operations.
Develop and implement a monthly reporting process to highlight program impacts in the community.
Manage day-to-day hands-on operations at all event locations.
Ensure all sites follow best practices and consistent organizational standards.
Guarantee a high-quality, compassionate experience where every individual is treated with respect and dignity.
Implement and train staff/volunteers on required systems.
Develop and enforce uniform policies and procedures across all event sites.
Maintain full compliance with health, safety, and food hygiene regulations.
Manage the sorting and packing events and weekend food program (weekend availability required).
Resolve concerns and promote a culture of service and kindness at all distribution points.

Volunteer Leadership & Community Engagement

Recruit, train, and empower volunteers to take on active leadership roles at events.
Foster a welcoming, inclusive environment where volunteers feel valued and essential.
Provide ongoing support, feedback, and recognition to volunteers.
Promote teamwork and a positive culture aligned with core values of service.

Administrative & Data Management

Maintain accurate data in systems for tracking distribution, client services, and metrics.
Produce required documentation for all mobile events.
Support client onboarding, recertification, and updates in line with standards (e.g., TEFAP and internal).
Generate reports to evaluate impact and guide strategy.
Uphold strict confidentiality and data integrity protocols.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent required; relevant college coursework or certifications preferred.
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in food distribution, nonprofit services, event operations, or similar; leadership experience required.
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and data systems; inventory software experience a plus.
Solid understanding of food safety and sanitation best practices.
Proven ability to lead diverse teams, including hands-on management of staff and volunteers.
Exceptional interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication skills with a servant-leader mindset.
Spanish speaking is a REQUIREMENT.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to sit and use a computer for extended periods.
Ability to lift and move items up to 50 lbs.
Comfortable working in varied environments, including refrigerated areas and outdoor event sites.
Must be available for weekends and some evenings.
Full-time, 40 hours per week; based in Naples office and on-site at events.

Pay: $47,802.58 - $57,568.70 per year
