Candidates with experience in and commitment to mentoring students from a variety of backgrounds are encouraged to apply./pp/ppbWhat you’ll do in this position: /b/pulliPlan and manage a wide range of events that support the School of Accountancy’s mission and community including Advisory Board meetings, career fairs, case competitions, faculty retreats, student orientations, research conferences, alumni events, AAA conference reception, and various student club events./liliBudget creation on oversight for each event./liliContract negotiation and vendor coordination./liliCreating and maintaining event operation manuals./liliRepresenting the SOA in Marriott School event planning meetings./liliServe as assistant to the SOA Director, Associate Directors, and Office Manager./liliCoordinating faculty scheduling, classroom reservations, and recruiting communications./liliSupporting SOA’s donor communication efforts./liliHelp maintain the department website, email lists, and office operations./li/ulp/ppbWhat qualifies you for this role:/b/ppbRequired/b/pulliA firm commitment to the mission of BYU/liliAssociate’s degree and 2 years’ experience in a professional office environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience./liliProficient in Microsoft Office Suite/liliExcellent organizational skills, goal oriented/liliStrong communication skills/customer relations/liliHighly motivated/self starter/liliProblem solving skills/liliTeam player/liliFlexibility to work outside of normal office hours as needed for events/li/ulp/ppbPreferred/b/pulliBachelor’s degree plus 2 years’ experience in events planning and/or project management./liliProficient in Adobe Suite/li/ulp/ppbWhat we offer in return:/b/ppThis position comes with fantastic a href="https://hrs.byu.edu/employee-benefits" target="_blank"benefits/a, including:/pulli401k.
