Event Planning Manager

Our client, a leading hospitality group, is seeking a creative and highly organized Event Planning Manager to oversee a portfolio of upscale events in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, US . This role is responsible for conceptualizing, planning, executing, and evaluating a wide range of events, from corporate functions and weddings to conferences and social gatherings. The Event Planning Manager will work closely with clients to understand their vision and requirements, translating them into seamless and memorable experiences. Key responsibilities include managing event budgets, negotiating with vendors, securing venues, and coordinating all logistical aspects such as catering, audiovisual, entertainment, and staffing. You will develop detailed event timelines, manage timelines, and ensure all deadlines are met. Strong vendor relationship management skills are essential, as is the ability to troubleshoot and problem-solve effectively in high-pressure situations. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional organizational, multitasking, and communication skills, with a keen eye for detail and a passion for delivering outstanding customer service. A Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Event Management, Marketing, or a related field is preferred. A minimum of 4 years of experience in event planning and management, preferably within the hospitality or tourism industry, is required. Experience with event management software and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite are necessary. Certifications such as Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) are a plus. The ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as dictated by event schedules, is a must.
