ABOUT DECIBEL EVENTS
Decibel Events (dB) is a full-service event production and management company based in Washington, DC. We create stunning live events for federal agencies, associations, and corporations throughout the US and abroad, from broadcast-quality general sessions and multi-day conferences to trade shows and city-wide festivals.
Our clients include the Library of Congress, the U.S. Small Business Administration, the Department of War, Trane Technologies, and T. Rowe Price, and some have been with us for more than 15 years. We are experts at what we do. We work side by side with our clients to make every event seamless, and the work we put into preproduction is what our clients see onsite. We are a team of six, so everyone here has a hand in the work and a direct relationship with the client.
ABOUT THE ROLE
We're looking for a full-time Event Producer to join our events team, reporting to Eric Bibbs, Senior Event Producer. You will own each event from the first planning call to the final cue. You'll lead discovery calls with the client, write the proposals, build the paperwork, hire the crew, and lead the team onsite. When the show needs a caller, you'll call it. When we're chasing new work, you'll help us win it. You'll also support productions in our Washington, DC studio, helping dB expand its podcast, video, and content production capabilities.
This is L3 on the dB career path, where management starts. You've already been the person in charge of the budget, the vendors, and the show, and you're ready to lead the people on your events. If you're still building toward that, take a look at our Event Production Associate role.
