The Event Specialist role at Cape Fear Botanical Garden is a part-time position designed for a dynamic and enthusiastic team player who will play an integral role in supporting the Garden’s Events department. The successful candidate will assist Event Coordinators by managing tours, appointments, and a variety of administrative tasks necessary for successfully organizing events at this premiere venue. With a work schedule that includes evenings and weekends to meet the demands of private events and public celebrations, the Event Specialist serves as a vital point of contact between clients and Event Coordinators, ensuring excellent communication and smooth execution of all events.

This role entails direct interaction with clients, acting as a representative of the Garden’s high standards while scheduling venue tours and managing bookings through CRM systems. The Event Specialist will support the operational aspects of event planning, maintaining detailed record-keeping, coordinating with vendors, and participating in market research to identify new event opportunities that enhance the Garden’s profile in the Cape Fear region. The position demands strong customer service skills, bilingual communication proficiency in English and Spanish, and the ability to contribute effectively within a collaborative team environment.

In addition to event-specific responsibilities, the Specialist will assist during special public events such as Boo-tanical and Holiday Lights, helping with guest greetings, staffing activities, and supporting event logistics. High school diploma
