The role of Event Planner at MCHT is pivotal in connecting the community and stakeholders with the organization’s core message through expertly crafted events. The Event Planner will serve as the on-site lead at most events, orchestrating production schedules, coordinating volunteers, and ensuring that each event delivers a cohesive and meaningful experience consistent with MCHT’s high standards. This role also involves using digital platforms for event registration and fundraising initiatives, maintaining and analyzing event data in collaboration with data analysts, and securing sponsorships and in-kind support from local businesses and donors. • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience • Minimum of 3 years experience in event planning or related roles • Experience working in nonprofit or environmental sectors preferred • Strong organizational and multitasking skills • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Ability to manage multiple projects under deadlines • Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office and event software • Availability to work on-site at least twice a week and attend monthly meetings in Topsham • Ability to perform physical tasks required for on-site event coordination • Must be able to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodations
