They are primarily responsible for the planning and execution of author and community events, including acquiring events, building community relationships, and communicating with authors, publicists, and the Midtown Reader team. • Coordinate with the inventory manager to order event books and monitor the inventory for upcoming events, coordinating with the inventory manager for any event book returns. • Create event pages on Facebook and the Midtown Reader website with information and graphics, coordinating with the Marketing Coordinator to further publicize events • Coordinate with the Manager to facilitate staffing for all events, working at least one event per week yourself. • Write a weekly events email to the staff regarding upcoming event information.
