pDescription/ppnbsp;/ppThe Events Coordinator (EC) is responsible for implementing and executing LV Zoo events, which include all signature events, promotions and rentals. needed to ensure the successful marketing of events and promotionsnbsp;/pp• Obtain essential materials, props, decorations, vendors, etc., to ensure event success/pp• Collaborate with Volunteer Coordinator and Operations department to ensure proper and thorough staffing of events, guiding staff from setup to execution to cleanup/pp• Collaborate with Operations department for event setupnbsp;/pp• Research and develop creative ideas for the implementation or enhancement of special events and promotions/pp• Work with CEL to convert rental inquiries into bookings; meeting with contacts, finalizing contracts and executing event/pp• Be able to successfully handle onsite criticism relating to the guest/client experience/pp• Be familiar with the Zoo’s history, Mission Statement, current accomplishments, and future goals/pp• Other duties as assigned/ppbr//ppRequirements/ppnbsp;/ppstrongSKILLS COMPETENCIES ·/strong/pp• Highly proficient in Microsoft Office suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint/pp• Detail oriented and organizednbsp;/pp• Excellent written and verbal communication skills/pp• Motivated self-starter with the ability to work independently with purpose and accuracy as well in a group settingnbsp;/pp• Excellent time management with ability to multitask and adhere to deadlines • Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships/pp• Demonstrated leadership abilities and strategic thinking/ppbr//ppstrongQUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE/strong/ppnbsp;· Associate degree in related field preferred/ppnbsp;· High School Diploma with a minimum of 2 years of related work experience/ppnbsp;· Ability to work weekends (April-December)/ppnbsp;· Adjusting workdays and hours to accommodate attendance at signature events, special promotions and Winter Light Spectacular; all which require some availability on weekends, holidays and evenings/ppbr//ppstrongPHYSICAL DEMANDSAND WORK ENVIRONMENT/strong/ppnbsp;· The physical demands and work environment characteristics described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.nbsp;/pp· Physical Demands: While performing the job duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to walk; sit; stand; use hands to fingers; handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; balance; stoop; talk or hear.
