Job Description Summary
The Events Coordinator I supports the planning, coordination, and execution of events ranging from small meetings to large-scale ministry events. This role requires strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills, along with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, event-driven environment. The ideal candidate is flexible, detail-oriented, and capable of independently coordinating event logistics while collaborating effectively with internal teams and vendors to ensure successful execution.
This position reports to the Events Assistant Director.
Essential Job Function
Coordinate and manage event logistics from planning through completion, including travel arrangements, setup, teardown, and post-event follow-upCollaborate with assigned departments and ministries to plan and support upcoming events and travel needsManage multiple events simultaneously while ensuring deadlines and timelines are metEnsure all required contracts, policies, and event guidelines are followed for each eventMaintain effective working relationships with staff, vendors, and service providersProcess work orders, purchase orders, receipts, and related documentation accurately and in a timely mannerProvide excellent customer service and ongoing communication to all departments and ministriesAssist the Events Assistant Director and Director as neededWork collaboratively and effectively with other Events CoordinatorsHandle sensitive and confidential information with tact, discretion, and professionalismPerform other related duties as assigned
MINISTERIAL DUTIES

Regular attendance at Church services and classesServing as a Prayer Partner or as a volunteer in any ministry of the Church, andServing our community through local outreaches from time to time, when needed by the Church
Qualifications
Uncompromised commitment to Lakewood Church s vision, mission, values, and core beliefsDemonstrated Christ-like character, spiritual maturity, and alignment with Lakewood Church cultureProven experience coordinating and supporting events, including managing multiple events simultaneouslyStrong organizational, time-management, and problem-solving skillsAbility to manage timelines and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environmentAbility to remain calm and work effectively under pressureStrong written and verbal communication skillsExcellent interpersonal skills with a service-oriented dispositionBasic understanding of vendor coordination and contract complianceStrong attention to detail and accuracyWillingness to work evenings and weekends as event schedules requireProfessional appearance and conductAbility to lift up to 25 lbs unassistedProficiency in Microsoft Office applications
Education & Experience
Some college coursework preferredMinimum of 3 years of experience in event planning or coordination
