Events Manager, Sponsorships & EventsMizuho Americas, a leading corporate and investment bank in the US, is seeking an Events Manager who excels in creating unique and engaging experiences for both clients and employees through innovative events and sponsorships. ResponsibilitiesPlan, develop, and execute events and conferences across the Americas region.Coordinate end-to-end event logistics: site evaluation, venue selection, contract negotiation, budget approvals, hotel room blocks, invite process, attendee registration, promotional items/giveaways, booth setup, signage, shipping details, marketing materials, speaker arrangements, presentations, and on‑site management.Manage event calendar, budget, and reporting.Liaise with internal stakeholders and departments.Communicate with business partners to ensure sufficient lead times around each event.Actively manage conference coordinators, vendors, consultants, and other providers.Provide detailed post‑event reports and create action plans for improvement.Pre‑production event management: coordinate speaker details, run‑of‑show, presentations, prep calls.Advise businesses on recommended sponsorships, speaking opportunities, and conference participation.Source and arrange meetings with potential speakers, thought leaders, facilitators, and other talent.Support end‑to‑end management of sporting and event tickets: allocation, inventory tracking, distribution, attendee follow‑up, compliance reporting, invoicing, catering orders, and ticketing inbox.Experience RequiredMeticulous attention to detail and highly organized.Understanding of marketing strategy and planning.Advanced knowledge of meeting and conference practices.Proven ability to plan, manage, and execute multiple events simultaneously.Knowledge of speaker selection and contract negotiation.Admirable project management, time management, and prioritization skills.Team collaboration and effective communication with senior leadership.Proficiency with MS Office and event planning/registration tools (Bizzabo, Cvent, etc. ).Will support global requirements as schedule requires.Will travel 10–25% for on‑site event support.Qualifications4–6 years’ experience in events or conference management.Financial services industry experience preferred.CMP or other event certification a plus.BA/BS in event management, marketing, communications, or related field.CompensationBase salary range: $109,000 – $130,000. A discretionary bonus and a generous employee benefits package may also be offered.
