Floral Designer

1-800-Flowers.com, Inc. is looking for a Floral Designer for their Philadelphia MDC. with 3–5 years of experience as a floral designer in a fast-paced, high-volume production environment. They should possess foundational knowledge of floral handling and processing and be able to identify a wide variety of flowers by name to accurately execute design recipes. A creative mindset, strong attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively with team members to meet deadlines are essential.

**Responsibilities**
--------------------

* Assist with the maintenance of plants and dish gardens
* Maintain cleanliness and organization of the cooler at all times
* Ensure proper floral handling and processing standards are followed
* Accurately identify a wide variety of flowers by name
* Execute design recipes in accordance with productivity and quality standards
* Assist in other departments as needed

* Strong communication skills required
* Must be flexible and willing to work extended hours during holidays
* Must be available to work weekends
* Must comply with all FDA standards

**Physical Demands**

* Ability to stand for extended periods of time
* Ability to lift up to 25–40 pounds as needed
* Ability to work in indoor environments with varying temperatures, including cold and heat
* Must wear closed-toe footwear in accordance with safety guidelines
* Must be able to assist in other departments as business needs dictate

**Qualifications**

* Floral design experience required
* Minimum of 3–5 years of professional floral design experience preferred
* Strong attention to detail
* Strong mathematical skills
* Ability to effectively receive and communicate instructions
* Strong organizational skills
* Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment
* Must be a team player and work collaboratively with others
* High school diploma or equivalent required

*The expected hourly pay range for this position is **$19.00 to $21.00 per hour**. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, skills, internal equity, and other factors permitted by law.*
