Manager, Events

Your support of the unique perspectives and experiences shared by our global cybersecurity workforce and profession will be recognized. The Manager, Events is responsible for planning, executing, and delivering ISC2’s Americas-based events, with a primary focus on supporting the organization’s flagship conference, Security Congress, as well as additional in-person, hybrid, and virtual programs. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Events, you will play a hands-on role in event planning, vendor management, budgeting, and on-site execution, while also supporting the development and coordination of your team members and external partners. Behavioral Competencies • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and execution-focused • Calm, confident event leader during live events • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment • Confident decision-maker with strong on-site presence and issue-resolution skills • Collaborative team player with a hands-on, solution-oriented mindset • Alignment with ISC2’s values and commitment to inclusive, high-quality experiences Education and Work Experience • Bachelor’s degree in event management, hospitality, marketing, business, or related field • 6+ years of experience planning and executing large-scale in-person events, conferences, or trade shows in the U.S • Experience managing teams or leadership experience preferred • Experience in technology, cybersecurity, SaaS, or membership-based organizations preferred • CMP or other event management certifications desirable
