The Santee Chamber of Commerce, established in 1955, is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting and advocating for local businesses. Team members are part of a mission-driven organization committed to making a positive impact throughout Santee. The Santee Chamber of Commerce is seeking a creative, organized, and self-motivated Marketing & Events Coordinator to help lead our events, marketing, and member engagement efforts. Plan, coordinate, and execute a wide variety of Chamber events, including member ribbon cuttings, Business After 5 Mixers, networking events, educational programs, luncheons, golf tournaments, signature events, the annual Santee Street Fair, and other Chamber initiatives as assigned.Identify, cultivate, and secure sponsorships for Chamber events while ensuring sponsor benefits are fulfilled.Assist with the production of the Santee Magazine, including securing and managing business advertisements for each edition.Serve as the primary point of contact for businesses hosting Chamber events, building strong relationships and maintaining exceptional communication throughout the planning process.Conduct planning meetings and site visits with host businesses to ensure event goals, logistics, and expectations are aligned.Develop and manage event timelines, budgets, registrations, sponsorship fulfillment, vendors, volunteers, and event logistics.Coordinate event setup, on-site management, and breakdown while ensuring a professional, welcoming, and memorable experience for attendees.Develop and execute marketing campaigns that increase event attendance, membership engagement, sponsorship visibility, and ticket sales.Manage the Chamber's weekly newsletter, social media platforms, website updates, email marketing campaigns, and all other digital communications.Provide the President & CEO with analytics and performance reports for the Chamber's social media platforms, email marketing campaigns, and weekly newsletter.Create engaging graphics, photography, videos, reels, business interviews, member spotlights, and event highlights that showcase our Chamber and business community.Collaborate with the President & CEO to implement new initiatives, strengthen Chamber programs, and support organizational growth.Represent the Chamber professionally at networking events, community meetings, and Chamber functions.Attend all Chamber events, including occasional evenings and weekends.What We're Looking For: Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field preferred; equivalent professional experience will also be consideredExperience in event planning, marketing, communications, community engagement, or a related field.Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.Experience with social media marketing, Meta Business Suite, content creation, and short-form video production.Proficiency in Canva, graphic design, social media management, and digital marketing platforms.Experience with CRM systems such as ChamberMaster and email marketing platforms like Constant Contact is a plus.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Experience building relationships with businesses, sponsors, and community partners.A proactive, solutions-oriented mindset with exceptional attention to detail.Hours | Compensation | Benefits:
