Meetings & Events Specialist

Location: Tampa, FL Work Setup: Onsite Pay Rate: $30.71/hr W2 Duration: 23 Weeks We are seeking a highly organized and customer-focused Event Coordinator to manage meetings and events within a corporate environment. This role requires strong coordination skills, attention to detail, and the ability to deliver a high-touch client experience while managing multiple events simultaneously. Oversee end-to-end event coordination for meetings ranging from small groups to large-scale events (10–500 attendees)Collaborate with internal teams including catering, audio-visual, facilities, and security to ensure seamless executionProvide high-touch customer service, including daily client interaction and on-site supportManage event logistics, including scheduling, space planning, and reservation managementConduct pre-event and post-event meetings/calls to ensure all requirements are metHandle day-to-day client issues and provide quick, effective resolutionsUtilize EMS (Event Management System) to manage bookings, reservations, and reportingPrioritize and process meeting room reservation requests via online toolsCoordinate communication between planning teams and stakeholders throughout the event lifecycleParticipate in daily operations meetings and weekly planning reviewsSupport reception desk operations including phone, email, and client greetingEscalate unresolved issues to management when necessary Experience in event coordination, hospitality, or corporate meetings managementStrong customer service and communication skillsAbility to manage multiple events in a fast-paced environmentExperience working with event management tools (EMS preferred)Strong organizational and problem-solving skillsAbility to work with cross-functional teams and stakeholdersProfessional, flexible, and proactive approach
