This particular role is based at the Michaels store located in Orange City, Florida, focusing primarily on event coordination, customer experience, and store operational duties. The Store Event Coordinator is responsible for planning, coordinating, and facilitating a variety of events, most notably children’s birthday parties and craft classes. The coordinator’s mission is to ensure these events are stress-free, fun, and engaging experiences for all guests, spanning a wide age range from young children to seniors. This role demands excellent communication and organizational skills to manage multiple events simultaneously, while maintaining a fun and creative atmosphere in line with Michaels' brand promises.
Beyond event planning, this role also includes facilitating party activities such as craft project demonstrations, face painting, and managing party add-ons like goody bags and balloons according to company standards. Effective communication with clients and store team members is essential, as well as handling administrative tasks such as answering emails, phone calls, and completing necessary paperwork.
