Sales & Events Coordinator

Job Overview • Provide administrative support to Sales, Events, and Planning teams • Manage internal bookings and small events • Answer phones and guide clients on behalf of the Sales and Events team • Assist Managers with lead intake and client communication • Generate agreements and communicate on behalf of hotel and Managers • Prepare group resumes, event orders, and support site tour coordination • Maintain the sales funnel: track, assign, and monitor incoming leads • Conduct in-person and virtual site inspections for prospective customers • Communicate hotel guidelines, services, and procedures clearly to planners • Plan and execute events, ensuring seamless logistics and guest satisfaction • Collaborate cross-departmentally and with external vendors • Prioritize tasks and manage workflow independently based on business needs • Maintain professional, consistent communication with clients and teams • Perform additional duties as assigned by Sales and Events leadership Benefits available with this position include: • Medical / Dental / Vision Insurance (Full-Time) after 30 days of employment • 401k & Retirement Savings Plan (RSP) • Basic Life Insurance • Short term disability insurance • New Child Leave & Adoption Assistance • Compassionate Leave • Paid Time Off: • Thompson Seattle colleagues begin accruing Vacation Time on their first day of service. As a Tier Three employer all colleagues accrue one (1) hour of paid sick and safe time for every 30 hours worked starting on their hire date, however, these colleagues cannot use their accrued sick time until they have completed 90-days of employment with Hyatt • Extended Illness Days: unused sick and safe time in excess of 72 hours converted to Extended Illness Days at the end of each calendar year • Holiday Pay: • Full-time colleagues are eligible for holiday pay on their first day of employment. Hourly role: The hourly rate for this position starts at $28.16 with an increase to $28.66 after 90 days. Qualifications • 1–2 years of hospitality event sales or event coordination experience preferred • Strong organization, communication, and time management skills • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, guest-facing environment • Passion for creating elevated, experience-driven events • Strong presentation and business writing skills • Ability to work well and perform effectively under pressure.
