The ideal candidate is an energetic sales professional with experience in hospitality, attractions, event venues, hotels, convention centers, or destination marketing who thrives on prospecting, relationship building, and exceeding sales goals. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Sales & Business DevelopmentProspect and generate new business through cold calling, networking, referrals, trade shows, and community involvementDevelop and maintain a robust pipeline of qualified leadsConduct site tours showcasing the event center, downtown entertainment district, and amusement park amenitiesPrepare customized proposals, contracts, and pricing packagesNegotiate contracts while maintaining profitability and established pricing guidelinesAchieve monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue goalsClient Relationship ManagementBuild long-term relationships with businesses, schools, churches, military organizations, civic groups, nonprofit organizations, alumni associations, family reunion planners, youth organizations, and social clubsServe as the primary contact throughout the sales processConduct follow-up communications to encourage repeat businessSolicit client feedback and identify opportunities for improvementEvent CoordinationCollaborate with Operations, Food & Beverage, Catering, Entertainment, Marketing, Security, and Park Operations to ensure successful event executionParticipate in event planning meetings and communicate client expectationsAssist with on-site event management when necessaryEnsure exceptional guest experiences from inquiry through event completionMarketing & Community EngagementRepresent the organization at networking events, chamber functions, trade shows, and community eventsPartner with the Marketing Department on promotional campaigns targeting the SMERF marketMaintain knowledge of industry trends and competitor offeringsAdministrative ResponsibilitiesMaintain accurate client records within the CRM systemPrepare weekly sales activity reports and monthly forecastingTrack sales metrics, conversion rates, and revenue performanceMaintain organized contract files and event documentation QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor's degree in Business, Hospitality, Marketing, Communications, or related field preferred; equivalent sales experience may be considered3–5 years of successful sales experience in hospitality, attractions, hotels, event venues, convention centers, destination marketing, or entertainmentExperience selling meetings, events, or group business preferredProven record of meeting or exceeding sales goalsStrong consultative selling skillsExcellent presentation and public speaking abilitiesOutstanding communication and interpersonal skillsStrong negotiation and closing techniquesExcellent organizational and time management skillsAbility to manage multiple projects simultaneouslyCRM proficiencyMicrosoft Office proficiencyAbility to work independently and as part of a teamAbility to stand and walk for extended periodsAbility to lift up to 25 poundsOccasional evening, weekend, and holiday work requiredAbility to travel locally for sales calls and networking eventsPreferred CharacteristicsSelf-motivated and goal-orientedRelationship-focusedEnergetic and enthusiasticProfessional and customer-service drivenCreative in developing group event opportunitiesComfortable networking within the local communityPassionate about creating memorable guest experiencesCompensationCompetitive base salaryPerformance-based commission and incentive opportunitiesBenefits packagePaid time offProfessional development opportunitiesPosition Goal: Increase Event Center utilization and overall revenue by developing long-term relationships within the business and SMERF markets while positioning the downtown entertainment district and amusement park as the premier destination for meetings, celebrations, reunions, banquets, educational events, and group gatherings.
