The Event Planning Intern will support the Development Team at IRC San Diego in coordinating and promoting the annual fundraising event, Taste of IRC, that will take place on October 30th, 2025. This role offers hands-on experience in event planning, communication, development and donor relations. • Currently in an undergraduate or graduate degree program or graduated within one year, preferably event planning, marketing, communications or related area of study • Proficient in spoken and written English • Interest in event planning, nonprofit work, fundraising, or related fields • Strong organizational and communication skills • Detail-oriented and proactive • Comfortable working independently and as part of a team • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite • Previous volunteer or event planning experience is a bonus, but not required • Intern will need to supply their home workspace, computer, internet access, etc. • San Diego Office hours are scheduled Monday-Friday, 8:30am-5:00pm PST.
